This is a pressed spring rabbit trap with 4 inch jaws and
brass fittings - it has been cleaned and protected - this in
fact is the English "DEFIANCE X" like you can find in Oz -
however this example is stamped DEFIANCE X and the spring and "XX"
is stamped on the pan - this is the first time i have ever seen
an English
DEFIANCE X - the trap is in good condition...$55

is a 4 inch wire spring rabbit trap - it has been cleaned and
protected - this trap is from the Walsgott collection and as you
can see underneath the trap Darol has written his trap number
and page number as per his book - this is a nicely stamped
example and the trap is in excellent condition...$40

is a flat spring lanes trap with 4 inch jaws - the trap has been
cleaned and protected - this example has the carrs snubber -
this trap is from the Walsgott collection as you can see in the
photos he has shown the page number and trap number from his
book - this trap is in excellent condition and would be an asset
to any collection - the pan stamping is excellent...$45

collection - it has 74/8 on it as per Darols book - it has the

J. WILLIAMS & SON.
A hard to find wire spring trap, this one stamped well on the
plate with J. WILLIAMS & SON on the galv plate, also has what
looks like T2L? on brass tongue and J. WILLIAMS & SON MAKER
under the brass. The original stake at the end of the trap chain
is also most interesting - It was made by Williams from the
stock bar of a rabbit trap. A very nice trap indeed, as found
condition.

J. WILLIAMS TRIO OF TRAPS
An opportunity to buy a nice set of J.
Williams & Sons forged spring traps. The 4 inch jaws trap is
stamped with J Williams & Sons 50 on spring and upside down
(NIB) under the brass tongue, the 3 inch trap is marked on the
spring in small letters, the 2 1/2 inch trap is also nicely
marked on the spring in curved letters - a hard one to find. As
found condition.

Lane Coil Spring Compact.
This is a superb little trap.
The stock bar, jaws and tongue are those as used on the Li-Lo
series of traps made by Lane's of Wednesfield so I can only
presume that this trap was made by them, perhaps for export, but
it is not named so far as I can see. It has 4 1/2 inch jaws and
is nicely compact in design. Cleaned and waxed for your

SIDEBOTHAM'S Spring Clamp.
This is a genuine trap maker's tool,
obtained from one of the last workers at Sidebothams during an
interview for my forthcoming book. One of a pair - a unique
opportunity to own this fantastic item. They were used to hold
down the springs of the man traps and large bar traps whilst the
jaws were fitted in the factory. Stamped twice with
SIDEBOTHAM'S. Good condition throughout.
